About Me

My photo
Mumbai, India
I'm a landrace dog fancier and birder. Founder of the INDog Project (www.indog.co.in) and the INDog Club. Before that, worked with urban free-ranging dogs of Mumbai from 1993-2007. Also a wildlife conservationist working in the tiger reserves of central India with Satpuda Foundation.

This blog is for aboriginal breed enthusiasts. It is part of the INDog Project www.indog.co.in. Only INDogs (Indian Pariah) and INDog-mix mongrels are featured here. The two are NOT the same, do please read the text on the right to understand the difference. Our aim: to create awareness about the primitive natural breed called the Indian Pariah Dog/INDog. I sometimes feature other landrace breeds too.

A summer day with Tommy and Chinky

Tommy and Chinky need no introduction in this blog. Along with their human Manik they are among my earliest blog friends, and have been featured here often over the last seven years!

In case you joined us recently, read about them in this post from 2010. There are links to earlier posts in that story.

Dear Tommy has such a sweet personality, everyone who knows him loves him. And quiet Chinky is one of the most graceful, well-mannered dogs I've ever met.

I love these photos Manik just clicked of them:

The special Tommy den - best place to relax!
Summer treat: vanilla ice-cream

Do not disturb!

A very rare moment. Chinky doesn't often sit so close to Tommy.

Chinky poses for the camera. Tommy's attention is elsewhere.

Tommy, charming as ever
